Come learn the interior design art of Feng Shui in celebration of the Lunar New Year with Michelle Crandell! The lunar new year begins on February 10, 2024. Starting in January through the month of February, Emergent Arts and Taiwanese/Hot Springs artist, Bai Mros will bring you unique experiences to celebrate the occasion.

About this workshop:

Feng Shui is the Chinese practice of arranging your environment to enhance good fortune in your life. The primary goal of Feng Shui is to bring you and your home into harmony so that you are thriving in a paradise of your own design.

In this informative overview, Michelle Crandell will present the basics of Feng Shui. Here are some topics covered:

INTENTION: How to create living and working spaces that correspond with your heart's desires.

THE BAGUA: In the theory and practice of Feng Shui, any space you inhabit is divided into nine equal parts. Each part governs a different area of your life. The Bagua defines and describes each area. You can apply this chart to your home, to a room, to a building or a location in order to work with more collaboratively with the energies of the places you visit or live in.

THE FIVE ELEMENTS: In Feng Shui, there are five elemental energies which influence us all:

Earth, Air, Metal, Water and Fire. Balancing these elements in our homes can lead to good fortune. Each of us is also influenced by the energy prominent at our birth and the energy of the year we currently live in. Understanding the influence of the five elements helps you individualize your personal Feng Shui and flow with the changes reality brings.
