  Join us on Thursday mornings, once a month, for Parent and Me Morning Craft Hour! 

  Come do a project together with your little one at Emergent Arts, and let us handle the set-up and clean-up! We'll also provide all the materials. Projects are designed so that you and your little one can make one collaborative piece together. This is a hands on experience for both of you! There will be instruction throughout the hour, but guardians are expected to supervise their kiddos.

  Join Rose Guzman for Cool Clothes Club through Emergent Arts every 4th Friday. In this club you will have free range to explore your fashion outlet artistic exploration. This club will consist of kind, like minded individuals exploring the art of fashion. Please bring projects to work on independently or collaboratively with peers. Cool Clothes Club provides opportunities for you to work on projects of fabric arts including machine/hand sewing, beading, knitting/crocheting, fashion design, and styling to name a few. Anyone participating in this class that is age 12 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.   Tuesdays will be dedicated clay days, and Wednesday/Thursday after school students will spend the days making a variety of art projects from drawing to painting, to fiber projects! Emergent Arts will supply one snack each day.

  This is the opportunity to experience how all the incredible costumes of live theater are designed and created!  This special workshop provides students, ages 13 and up, interested in costuming with a unique opportunity to participate in the creation of the costumes for this year’s performance of The Nutcracker by the Hot Springs Children’s Dance Theater Company.

  Students will experience the process of designing and creating costumes for a ballet production under the direction of a professional costume designers, William Henshaw and Hannah Mills. The class will conclude with the public performance of The Nutcracker which will allow students to see the integration of costume design and construction efforts with The Nutcracker performance.

  Tuition for this 8 week class is $50. This Costume Design Class is a collaborative effort between Emergent Arts and Hot Springs Children’s Dance Theater, and is underwritten by a Collaborative Project Support Grant from the Arkansas Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

  $262, plus $30 supply fee (covers clay, glazes, and firing in the kiln) 

  Fee also includes an 7 week membership to Emergent Arts, allowing students to access Emergent Arts on their own time (24/7) to practice the skills being learned in class.

  This class is suitable for beginners, as well as more advanced students who would like access to a teacher and studio space to further their skills. Students will practice making round objects on the potter's wheel such as bowls, cups, and vases. Students will also learn how to glaze works, and Emergent Arts will fire all student pieces in our kilns.

  Ceramic Altars- Adults and Teens

  Hand build and paint with underglaze on leather (soft) hard clay in this one-day workshop to create a ceramic altar to celebrate loved ones or others. Altars will be created using templates and slab construction. • Pottery- Healing/Ritual Pots- Day of the Dead Celebration Drop-in

  Healing Pottery/ Ritual Pots- All Ages Drop-in Event

  In this one-day, drop-in clay workshop we will create a healing pot with terra cotta clay using the pinch and/or coil method of construction. Artist, Jeri Hillis, will guide you! This is an all ages event, but children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult. Small children will need to be aided by a guardian.

  The drop-in is scheduled from 12:30-4PM. This project will take about an hour, so please do not drop-in later than 3:30PM. Emergent Arts will fire your work in the kiln and you may come back to pick up your finished work about 2 weeks later.

  Once a month on a Friday night, come join us for Art Cafe! 

  Bring your friends, bring the fam, and choose from a menu of projects. We'll provide all the materials and the space to get messy!

  There is a seating fee of $5 per person. Children 12 and under included with an adult. Prices will vary depending on the project, and range from about $5 to $25. Projects are self-led so guardians are responsible for kiddos, though our "waiter" will some guidance if requested.

  Glass pieces will be fired for you in our kiln and you can pick up in about 2 weeks.

  Choose from an array of items on our Paint-Your-Own-Pottery Cart. Prices range from $2-$25, and each item is marked. Your glazed pieces will be fired for you in our kiln and you can pick up in about 2 weeks.

  Each bag contains a rigid surface to adhere your collage to, and a variety of colored and patterned paper, magazine images, and doodads....$5

  Each bag or box contains a variety of objects perfect for building a small sculptural piece....$8
